Village life in rural Zambia
In 2000, I traveled and lived in rural Zambia for 6 months, working with a Danish-based NGO called Development Aid from People to People (DAPP). Many of these photographs were taken from a 6-month stint in Kanchele Village. Kanchele is a rural community located in Zambia’s Southern Province, two hours into the bush from Kalomo Town.
In 2003, I returned to Zambia to work with a collective of women on an independently-funded micro-lending project. Some of these photos were taken from my
15-month stint in Muchinshi Village, a road-side community of women located in Zambia’s Central Province just outside of Chingola Town.
